Cor Merks at Ramboll Head Office
Cor Merks comes from a recent position as Senior Consultant in the Dutch consultancy Witteveen+Bos and has previously worked for companies such as Arcadis, the water utility PWN and Royal Haskoning. He has an impressive track record of international projects that include significant projects in Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania and Sweden, and he has assisted public and industrial clients in various parts of the world.

Cor Merks is currently part of the project team that helps Frederiksberg Forsyning, located in the center of Copenhagen, implement a new water works that will include softening and various other water treatment processes. Cor was part of the project team that helps HOFOR, the Greater Copenhagen Utility, implement softening together with aeration and rapid sand filtration at their larger capacity water works Søndersø, Thorsbro and Lejre/Gevninge in the programme ‘V3VV’.

Cor has more than 28 years of experience in the fields of design, engineering, build, operation and maintenance of physical water and wastewater assets, asset performance management, and related information management and data analytics.
His expertise includes water resource management, water treatment, water supply and conservation, wastewater polishing, and industrial water reuse. Topic specialties include softening and corrosion control treatment of drinking water, and water audits and loss control programs.
